Apna Hub is a customer shopping application for groceries and daily essentials. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, how we share it, and how you can request access, correction, or account deletion.
This policy applies to the Apna Hub mobile application, customer APIs, and public pages operated by Apna Hub.
Who We Are
Apna Hub is operated by Apna Hub in India. In this policy, "Apna Hub", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the operator of the Apna Hub customer application.

Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to provide shopping, account, delivery, payment, notification, support, and product request features in the application.

Permissions Used By The App
- Internet and network access: to connect to Apna Hub services.
- Notifications: to send order, payment, support, delivery, invoice, service, and promotional updates.
- Microphone: to support voice product search.
- Speech recognition: to convert your voice search into searchable text.
- Location: to help fill delivery address details and improve delivery accuracy when you choose to use location-based address features.
- Photos/files/storage: to upload a profile photo or support attachment, and to save invoice PDFs to your device when you request it.
- Vibration: to provide small app feedback for actions and notifications.
How We Use Your Information
- To create, verify, maintain, and protect your Apna Hub account.
- To let you browse categories, products, featured products, and search results.
- To manage cart, checkout, delivery address, order creation, order tracking, invoice, reorder, cancellation, and customer support features.
- To process payment status, refunds, failed payment retry, and payment verification through payment service providers.
- To send OTPs, transactional messages, push notifications, service updates, and promotional messages where allowed.
- To respond to support tickets and item requests.
- To improve reliability, security, fraud prevention, analytics, product availability, and customer experience.
- To comply with tax, accounting, legal, regulatory, dispute-resolution, and law-enforcement obligations.
When We Share Information
We do not sell your personal data.
We share information only when needed for the service, support, legal compliance, or business operations, including with:
- Merchants and delivery operations: order, customer, address, and contact details needed to accept, prepare, deliver, cancel, or resolve orders.
- Payment providers: payment details needed to initiate, verify, retry, or refund payments. This may include providers such as Razorpay and any other payment gateway enabled in the app.
- Firebase/Google services: push notification delivery, device messaging tokens, crash or service diagnostics where configured, and speech recognition services used for voice search.
- SMS and email providers: OTP and service communications, such as MSG91 for OTP SMS and configured email service providers.
- Cloud, hosting, database, cache, storage, monitoring, and security providers: to run, secure, back up, and monitor the application.
- Professional advisers, auditors, authorities, or courts: where required for legal, tax, accounting, dispute, fraud prevention, or regulatory reasons.
- Business transfer parties: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of business assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal safeguards.
Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.
- Account profile information is kept while your account is active.
- OTP records, security logs, token revocation records, and server logs are retained for security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention for a limited period.
- Orders, invoices, payment records, tax details, refunds, delivery records, and related support records may be retained for legal, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, dispute-resolution, and regulatory purposes.
- Support tickets, messages, and attachments are retained for support quality, dispute handling, and legal purposes.
- Search history and app cache data may be kept on your device and/or our servers to provide recent-search and product-discovery features. You may delete search history items in the app where supported.
- Backups may contain limited copies for a reasonable backup lifecycle and are restored only for security, disaster recovery, or legal needs.
We may anonymize or aggregate information so it can no longer reasonably identify you, and may retain that anonymous information for analytics and service improvement.
Account Deletion
You can request account deletion at https://delete-account.theapnahub.in/. The deletion request requires OTP verification on your registered mobile number.
When account deletion is completed, your Apna Hub customer account is deactivated and you will no longer be able to sign in or use account features. We also remove the active push notification token from the customer profile.
We may need to retain certain information where we have a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so, including order records, invoices, tax/accounting records, payment/refund records, fraud prevention records, security logs, support records, and records needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Retained information is limited to those purposes and is not used to provide an active customer account.
Your Choices And Rights
- You can update your profile details in the app.
- You can add, edit, delete, and set default delivery addresses in the app.
- You can allow or deny optional permissions such as notifications, microphone, location, and file/photo access through your device settings.
- You can contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or information about retention of your personal data.
- You can opt out of promotional communications where an unsubscribe or opt-out option is provided, or by contacting us.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information. These include authenticated API access, OTP verification, encrypted transport where available, restricted service access, token revocation for logout, and operational monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Apna Hub is intended for users who can lawfully use shopping and delivery services. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below the age required by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
International Transfers
Your information may be processed in India and in other locations where our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for transfers of personal information.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If a change is material, we may provide notice in the app or by other appropriate means.
